Pune Porsche car accident: 2 more accused arrested in blood sample changing case

Pune Crime Branch has arrested two more people late yesterday i.e. Monday night in connection with the exchange of blood samples in the Pune Porsche Car Accident. Shivani Aggarwal was arrested after the blood samples of the minor accused were exchanged with that of his mother. But on the night of the accident, two more of his friends were present in the car with the minor accused. The blood samples of both were also changed. One of these samples was swapped with his father, after which the other sample was swapped with some other person. Ultimately both the persons were arrested by the police, CP Amitesh Kumar has confirmed this.

According to Dr. Ajay Taware, head of the forensic department of Sassoon Hospital, Dr. Halnore had changed these samples. Sassoon Hospital employee Atul Ghatkamble is also included in this. The police have already arrested these three. Along with this, a total of 900 pages of charge sheet has been filed in the entire case.

Statements of 50 witnesses are included in the charge sheet.

“We have filed a 900-page charge sheet in a Pune court against seven accused, including the minor’s parents, two doctors and an employee of Sassoon General Hospital and two middlemen,” Additional Police Commissioner Shailesh Balkawade said. This huge charge sheet of the police includes statements of 50 witnesses. Additional Police Commissioner Balkawade said the chargesheet includes accident impact analysis report, technical evidence, forensic laboratory and DNA reports.

The police had prepared the accident impact analysis report with the help of forensic expert. The report aims to correlate the impact of the Porsche car on the motorcycle involved in the accident and also with the injuries of the IT professionals who died.

What is the whole matter?

On May 19, two software engineers, Anish Awadiya and Ashwini Koshta, were killed in a Porsche car accident in Pune, Maharashtra. The young man who was driving the car during this time was a minor. Allegedly the minor accused was in an intoxicated state and was driving a Porsche car at high speed. The juvenile accused was granted bail by the Juvenile Justice Board on the same day and ordered to keep him under the care of his parents and grandfather. Along with this, the court had also set a condition that the minor accused would have to write an essay of 300 words on road safety.

However, the police later filed an application before the board, seeking amendment in the bail order. After this, on May 22, the board had ordered the custody of the minor accused and sending him to a juvenile home.

After this, during the investigation in the case, the police got information about tampering of blood samples and IPC sections 201 (disappearing of evidence), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 467 (counterfeiting of valuable security), 213 (criminal Taking gift to avoid punishment) and 214 (Offering gift or restitution of property for investigation of offender for original offense registered against minor) were added.
Furthermore, the main offense was registered under IPC sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 304A (causing death by negligence), 279 (rash driving) and relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.
