Police said on Tuesday that the three friends were trying to steal metal from a closed high tension electricity tower located near Ranjne village of Velhe tehsil on July 13. Meanwhile, Basavaraj Mangrule (22), resident of Sinhgadh Road area of ​​Pune, died after falling from the tower. In this case, both the accused were identified as Saurabh Renuse and Rupesh Yenpure.

The deceased was missing since July 11, family members had lodged a complaint

According to news agency PTI, this incident came to light when Mangrule’s family lodged a complaint that he was missing after leaving for Pabe village with Renuse on July 11. Police said that Mangrule, Renuse and Yenpure went towards Ranjane village to steal the metal cable, but Mangrule died after falling from the tower.

Friends took him to the forest and buried him

Instead of taking him to a hospital, the accused allegedly buried him in the Pabe forest, an official from Sinhgadh Road police station said. When he was interrogated, he also told the police the place where he had buried the deceased. Now further investigation is going on in this matter.
