Congress has given assurances for Haryana elections. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday listed seven assurances of the party. The Congress had said that if our government is formed in the state, the poor will get two-bedroom houses and women will get Rs 2,000 per month.

Haryana Congress president Uday Bhan said that crime has increased in Haryana under the BJP rule. Two thousand rupees will be provided every month for women empowerment. Women between 18 to 60 years are eligible. To reduce the burden of inflation, gas cylinders of 500 rupees will be given away. To reduce the hardship of the people, pension of 6000 rupees will be given to the elderly, disabled and widows. Implement OPS to make life easier for retired employees. Youth will get a better future. 200,000 vacancies will be filled. Haryana will be drug-free. 300 units of free electricity will be given away.

Udaybhan further said that under the Chiranjeevi scheme, free treatment worth Rs 25 lakh will be provided. Poor families will be given 100 yards of land. We will ensure legal MSP guarantee.

Congress’s assurances to Haryana

1. Free electricity up to 300 units and free medical treatment up to Rs 2.5 million will be provided.

2. Women will get Rs 2000 per month. Cylinders are sold at Rs 500.

3. Recruitment will be conducted for 2 lakh vacancies. Haryana will take drug-free approach.

4. Old age, disability and widow pension will be Rs 6000. The Old Pension Scheme (OPS) will be restored.

5. Caste census will be conducted. The limit for creamy layer will be increased to Rs 10 lakh.

6. Minimum Support Price (MSP) will be legally guaranteed. Crop compensation will be disbursed immediately.

7. Housing will be brought to the poor. A plot of 100 yards will be given. A two-bedroom house worth Rs. 3.5 lakh will be given.

The guarantee card was a part of the party’s manifesto for the Haryana Assembly elections at the AICC headquarters in Delhi. Also present at the meeting were Congress president Mallikarjun Khag, Congress general secretary KC Venugopal, former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Haryana Congress president Uday Bhan and others.
