Former Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister, Prof. Kiranpal Singh passed away on Monday at the age of 81. He is a minister in the coalition government led by Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav. He is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Meerut.
Kiranpal Singh is a resident of Dhameda Kirat village in Bulandshahr district and currently lives in RLD area. CM Yogi expressed grief over the death of Kiranpal Singh. He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the souls of the deceased.
Kiranpal served as UP Basic Education Minister.
Kiranpal Singh served as the basic education minister of Uttar Pradesh. The statement said he is currently the national secretary of RLD. He has won election to the Aguta parliamentary seat five times. In 1980, he won the election for the first time. After delimitation in 2009, the Aguta seat was merged with the Bulandshahr Sadar seat.
The last rites were performed with state honors
His body was brought to Singh’s home where many people, including public representatives, paid their respects. Thereafter, the body was brought back to his hometown and cremated with state honors.
