Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi shared a post on social media platform X to prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha by-elections. The article comes a day before his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra files nomination for Wayanad. “Can’t imagine a better candidate for Wayanad than my sister Priyanka,” Rahul wrote in the post. “The people of Wayanad hold a special place in my heart and I believe in Priyanka Will vigorously advocate for the needs of Wayanad and be a strong voice in Parliament. “
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will file her nomination on Wednesday. Congress president Mallikarjun Haq, former Congress presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will also be present. According to reports, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will host a road show at the new bus stand in Kalpetta at 11 am and Priyanka’s nomination will be submitted to the district collector at 12 noon. By-election date
The Election Commission has announced the dates for by-elections to 48 Assembly seats and 2 Lok Sabha seats in 14 states. Polling will be held on November 13 for 47 Assembly seats in 13 states and the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. Polling will be held on November 20 in the Nanded Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra and the Kedarnath seat in Uttarakhand. The results for all seats will be announced on November 23.
