Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on October 30 and 31. During this period, he will also visit Ekta Nagar where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects. This tour will not only inject new impetus into the development of Ekta Nagar, but also assumes special significance on the occasion of National Unity Day.
First day schedule
The Prime Minister will arrive at Kevadia in Ekta Nagar at 5 pm on October 30, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth over Rs 280 crore. These projects include street hospitals, traffic circles, smart bus stations, China-EU School of Law car charging stations, 4-MW solar projects, intensive care units (ICU) on wheels, etc.

At 6 pm, the Prime Minister will address the 99th Koman Foundation Course-Aarambh 2024, an important program to inspire the youth and make them contribute to nation-building. Thereafter, the Prime Minister will attend the Narmada Deepotsav and attend the Narmada Aarti at 7:15 pm. The Narmada Ghat will be decorated with lights which will make the occasion even grander.
The next day’s program
On October 31, the Prime Minister will participate in a special event on National Unity Day. He will lay flowers and pay tribute to Sardar Patel at 7:15 am. Thereafter, he will take part in a solidarity march at the parade ground at 7.30pm and address the nation. The Prime Minister will leave for Delhi at 10 am.
development projects
The Prime Minister will inaugurate several important projects in Ekta Nagar, including a sub-district hospital, traffic roundabout, smart bus stand and CESL car charging station. The divisional hospital was built at a cost of Rs 22 crore and has facilities such as trauma centre, gynecological theatre, minor surgery theatre, operating theater, CT scan, intensive care unit, delivery ward, special ward, physiotherapy ward, surgeon’s room, medical store and other facilities. 1 ambulance will be provided.
Apart from this, for the convenience of tourists, 10 smart bus stations and 10 pick-up stations have been built in Ekta Nagar, which will be launched soon. A traffic circle has also been established to systematically manage traffic and enhance the beauty of the city. Push-button crosswalks and car charging stations will also be installed for pedestrian safety.
sustainable development and tourism
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a sewage treatment plant to be built at a cost of Rs 75 crore, which will treat wastewater generated by about 4,000 houses and other hospitality industries. Apart from this, the foundation stone of residential complex for firemen and Sardar Sarovar Dam Experience Center will also be laid. Six galleries will be constructed at the Sardar Sarovar Dam Experience Center to showcase the workings of the dam and its impact.

Beautiful sculptures will be placed at 24 places in Ekta Nagar and a 4 MW solar power project will also be inaugurated. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a bonsai garden to promote sustainable development, promote biodiversity conservation and integrate horticulture, aesthetics and cultural heritage.
Development of Satpura protective wall and jetty
Taking into account the impact of flooding in 2023, the protective wall adjacent to the Cactus Garden will be expanded to provide riverside, food stalls and trail facilities for visitors in addition to flood protection. At the same time, as the terminal develops, transportation facilities will also increase. Not only this, due to floods, the area earmarked for development of the Garudeshwar hotel area was submerged and in view of this, it was decided to spend over Rs 60 crore to raise the height of the land to save the land from future impacts. The flood has passed.
