Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in New York on Monday. Third meeting in three months

Regarding the meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Zelensky, the Foreign Minister said: “This meeting was held at the request of the Ukrainian side.” This is the third meeting between the leaders of the two countries in the past three months. The two discussed many issues. The Russian oil issue was not discussed at this meeting.

At the invitation of Zelensky, Prime Minister Modi visits Ukraine

This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992. At the invitation of President Zelensky, Prime Minister Modi visited Ukraine. A joint statement issued after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ukraine said both leaders expressed interest in working to elevate bilateral relations from a comprehensive partnership to a strategic partnership in the future.

Quartet expresses concern over situation in Ukraine
