Prime Minister Modi arrives in Vadodara and will jointly launch the Airbus project with the Spanish Prime Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Vadodara as part of his trip to Gujarat. At around 10 am, the Prime Minister, along with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, will inaugurate the Tata Aircraft Joint Base where Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) manufactures C-295 aircraft. Ahead of the launch of TASL, Sanchez will participate in roadshows with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Cultural programs will also be organized along the 2.5-km roadshow from the airport to the Tata factory.

Thereafter, at around 11 am, he will proceed to Lakshmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara, where he will hold a bilateral meeting organized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). According to the plan shared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister and the delegation will have lunch together at 12 noon.

The Prime Minister will travel to Amreli from Vadodara and inaugurate the Bharat Mata Sarovar at Dudara in Amreli at around 2:45 pm. Thereafter, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects costing over Rs 4,800 crore at Lathi in Amreli around 3 pm.

Prime Minister in Vadodara

The Prime Minister will jointly inaugurate the Tata Aircraft Complex for manufacturing C-295 aircraft at the Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) campus along with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. The C-295 project has a total of 56 aircraft, of which 16 will be delivered directly from Spain by Airbus and the remaining 40 will be manufactured in India.

Tata Advanced Systems Ltd. is responsible for manufacturing the 40 aircraft in India. The facility will be India’s first private military aircraft final assembly line (FAL). This involves creating an entire ecosystem from manufacturing to assembly, testing and qualification, delivery and maintenance throughout the aircraft’s life cycle.

Apart from Tata, leading defense public sector units such as Bharat Electronics Ltd and Bharat Power Ltd and private micro, small and medium enterprises will also contribute to the initiative. Earlier in October 2022, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the Vadodara Final Assembly Line (FAL).

PM’s program in Amreli is like this
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Bharat Mata Sarovar at Amrelidudara. The project is being developed under the public-private partnership (PPP) model by the Government of Gujarat and Dholakia Foundation. The Dholakia Foundation improved a check dam that originally had a capacity of 45 million liters of water, but after deepening, widening and strengthening, the capacity has been increased to 245 million liters. The improvement raises water levels in nearby wells and boreholes, which will help local villages and farmers by providing better irrigation.

At a public event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth around Rs 4,900 crore in Amreli, Gujarat. These projects will benefit the people of Amreli, Jamnagar, Morbi, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Junagadh, Porbandar, Kutch and Botad districts of the state.
