The program was organized for the purpose of implementing three new laws, the first Indian Judiciary Act (BJS), the second Indian Civil Defense Act (BCSS) and the third Indian Evidence Act (BEA). These laws will be implemented nationwide from July 1, 2024. What is special is that the Chandigarh Police took the fastest measures and implemented it 100%. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will praise the Chandigarh Police.

Over the past five months, the Police Department has completed all necessary preparations to take action under the new law. However, the introduction of digital processes such as e-discovery and e-summons at the court level is still awaited. The Prime Minister will officially launch work on both fronts on December 3. At this point, the justice system will take a big step towards becoming more transparent and digital.
Home Minister Amit Shah will also attend
In the plan, Prime Minister Modi will review the implementation of the three new laws and give instructions to relevant departments. The Prime Minister praised the Chandigarh Police and insisted that police departments in other states also adopt this model. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also attend the event and share his views on the programme.
The visit will not only recognize the efforts of Chandigarh Police but also highlight the importance of accelerating implementation of new laws and digital transformation of the justice system. This visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shah could prove to be a milestone in the transformation of the judicial system.
