Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi participated in the Independence Day celebrations organized at the Red Fort on Thursday. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the countrymen. This was the first time in recent years that a leader of the opposition participated in the event. This post was lying vacant since 2014 due to lack of adequate representation of opposition parties in the Lok Sabha.
