Due to the flood, the huts of Pando Teerth priests and the people living there have also been submerged in water. Shops in the Sangam area have been completely submerged. People are somehow taking out their belongings safely and going to higher areas. The road leading to Nagavasuki is also flooded. And flood water has entered the Hanuman temple lying at the Sangam, due to which people are having darshan from outside.
Now people are also facing problems due to floods. Due to flood water in Daraganj area, last rites are not being performed and people are forced to cremate dead bodies on the road. Now, as the water level of both the rivers increases, the problems of the people living in the low-lying areas will increase. The administration has also become alert about the floods and is asking people to leave low-lying areas.
Ganga water entered Lete Hanuman temple
The water of Ganga has reached the statue inside the lying Hanuman temple established on the banks of Sangam. As soon as Mother Ganga arrived on Wednesday morning, bells were rung. Aarti was performed and they were welcomed by invoking Mother Ganga. According to beliefs, in the year when the water of Ganga bathes Lord Hanuman in the temple, no natural disaster occurs in the country, state or city and there is peace everywhere. After the water of Ganga arrived in the temple, sages, saints and devotees performed puja, chanted prayers and cheered. Slowly the water of Ganga came down the stairs and started touching Hanuman ji and within a short time the entire idol drowned.
The only such temple in the world
Let us tell you that this is the only temple in the world with mythological importance, where Hanuman ji is lying down and in this resting posture, he gives darshan to his devotees. Even now the water level of Ganga Yamuna in Sangam city is far below the danger mark. Every year the people here eagerly wait for such a flood in the Ganga that the Ganga water enters the Hanuman temple and Bajrang Bali can be anointed with the Ganga water. The doors of the temple have now been closed. As long as the water of Ganga remains here, the temple will remain closed. After the water recedes, the temple will be reopened for the devotees after offering prayers.
