Prayagraj police took major action against the accused in Umesh Pal murder case. A case has been registered against 15 gangsters. They also include the names of the bomber Quddu Muslim and the sons of mafia Atiq Ahmed, Ali and Omar. Police declared Ali the leader of Atik’s gang. The police will now also seize property derived from the crimes of these defendants under Section 14/1 of the Gangster Act.
It is learned that Umesh Pal and his two gunmen were publicly murdered on February 24, 2023, in Dhumaganj area of ​​Prayagraj. The entire incident was caught on CCTV, with the killer’s face clearly visible. Police are continuing to take action against the accused following the incident.

The police arrested Atiq’s son Omar and was detained in Lucknow jail; Atiq’s younger son Ali was detained in Naini Central Prison; Atiq’s brother-in-law Ehlaq and servant Kashi Ahmed , Rakesh alias Naksh Lala, Shah Rukh Ahmed and Atiq’s lawyer Surt Hanif, are lodged in Naini Central Jail. In Naini jail, apart from Vijay Mishra, Sadaqat Khan and Niaz Ahmed, a case was also registered against the criminal Gu. Gangster cases of Guddu Islam, Armaan Akhtar and Mohammad Sabir.
Atiq’s two sons jailed
Currently, Ali Ahmed, the son of mafia boss Atiq Ahmed, is being held in Naini Central Prison. Atiq’s eldest son Omar is lodged in Lucknow jail. And Gudu Muslim, who was involved in the Umesh Pal murder case, is absconding. Aman and Sabir also absconded. The remaining defendants are behind bars.
