There is a ruckus in Prayagraj, UP over the case of extortion of goonda tax from a coaching operator. Meanwhile, the accused who went to extort Rs 1 crore have been identified through CCTV. Four student leaders of Allahabad University had come to collect goonda tax along with their supporters. Their faces are clearly visible in the CCTV.

There, the sufferer Coaching Director Vivek Kumar An FIR has been lodged in George Town police station against Rahul Singh Parihar, Badal Singh, Praveen Shukla and Saurabh Tiwari and 20 unknown people. Now the police is engaged in investigation. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.

It is known that three days ago, a famous coaching institute of Prayagraj was barged in and its operator Vivek Kumar was asked to pay a ransom of Rs. 1 crore. When the ransom was not paid, a ruckus was created in the coaching institute and along with vandalism, a threat was given to set it on fire. A dozen goons barged in and carried out this incident. All the coaching institute operators of the city are protesting against this incident. They have started a campaign on social media for the arrest of the accused.

It is worth mentioning that earlier coaching operator Vivek Kumar had written on social media platform ‘X’ regarding threats and extortion demands – My life is in danger, tomorrow they are planning to attack me and my institute again, if this system will improve only by my death, then I accept it with a smile.” He had appealed to the UP CM and the police-administration for protection.

According to the coaching director, earlier on September 4, some people had come and demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. He took it lightly at that time and dismissed it as a joke. However, after this, on September 10, more than two dozen people came together and entered the coaching while abusing, due to which the students and staff present there got scared.

It is alleged that he was asked to pay a ransom of Rs 1 crore and was threatened to burn down the coaching centre if he did not pay. He informed the police about this but everyone was misbehaving even in front of the policemen. The police have now registered a case in this matter and are searching for the accused.
