BJP MP PP Chaudhary has been appointed as the chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) established under the One Nation One Election Act. The JPC, which is reviewing the “One Nation, One Choice” bill, has 27 members from the Lok Sabha and 12 members from the Federal House of Representatives. PP Chaudhary was sworn in as Minister of State at the Union Council of Ministers on July 5, 2016 and was in charge of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Born in Jodhpur, practiced in the High Court
PP Choudhary was born on July 12, 1953 in a peasant family in Bhavi village of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. He was the son of Prabhu Ram Choudhary and Dhakku Devi. He joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in his childhood and his early education was in the life of RSS pracharaks.
He obtained two postgraduate degrees: Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws from Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur. In 1978, he started practicing before the Jodhpur High Court. He is married to Veena Pani Chaudhary and has two children.
