As the date of assembly by-elections for nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh approaches, the political atmosphere becomes increasingly heated. Political parties intensified their campaigns by erecting hoardings. Meanwhile, BJP leader Vijay Pratap Yadav on behalf of the BJP took issue with state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s “If we divide, we will cut” remarks revenge. He put up a “Judenge to Jeetenge” signboard on the road leading from the Raj Bhawan intersection to the Samajwadi Party office.

This poster of the SP leader is seen as a response to the BJP’s “Batenge to Katenge” slogan. CM Yogi recently raised the slogan “Batenge to Katenge” at a public meeting in Agra, following which the discussion intensified.

Statement via poster

Socialist Party leader Vijay Yadav is considered one of the party’s experienced leaders. In this context, his move has further aggravated the political atmosphere in the UP Assembly by-elections. Both sides are constantly trying to gain a lead in these seats. Earlier, the SP put up 27 posters in various areas, including the capital Lucknow, with slogans for Akhilesh Yadav’s victory in the 2027 UP elections. With this statement from the BJP, it can be seen that the socialist leaders are trying to unite voters.

surrounded by many problems

The SP is constantly trying to corner the BJP on many issues. Leaders raised the issue of inflation during Diwali. Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav said the color of the festival has faded due to the anti-people policies of the BJP. He said the prices of vegetables and other food items have increased so much that the aroma of food at home cannot come out of the kitchen. He said that due to hyperinflation under the BJP rule, the age-old idiom has taken on a new purpose – “expensive oil takes away oil from the public”.
