A clash broke out in a remote village in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
On Saturday night, the Jammu and Kashmir police and the Indian Army launched a cordon and search operation in Mendhar sub-division based on intelligence provided by General Gursay.
There are reports that three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists have been arrested.
Senior police officers from Jammu and Kashmir state are at the scene of the clash.
