A case of chemicals mixed with pomegranate juice came to light at a juice shop in Delhi’s Rajendra Nagar. After receiving the information, food safety inspector Kuldeep rushed to the spot and collected samples of the juice. Police said further action will be taken after receiving the sample report from the food safety department. Currently, no FIR has been registered.

In fact, the incident happened at a juice shop near the post office on Shankar Road in Rajendra Nagar. People were allegedly fed pomegranate juice laced with chemicals. After I was caught, Ayub Khan and Rahul, who were working in the shop, told me that my boss Shoaib had asked me to mix chemicals in the juice and let people drink it.

FIR has not been registered yet

Meanwhile, the Rajendra Nagar police station is investigating the matter. It is understood that the staff of the store were also beaten by nearby people. The shop owner has been sent to the hospital for treatment. Police said further action will be taken after receiving the sample report from the food safety department. No FIR has been registered yet.

This is what the DCP Central Committee said on the matter

DCP Central Harsh Vardhan said that around 10.30 am, the Rajendra Nagar police station received information about the sale of juice laced with coloring at a shop on Shankar Road. Preliminary findings suggested some substance was found in the store, so investigators called a food safety inspector, who took a sample. Further legal action will be taken once their report comes out. There were two men named Ayub Khan and Rahul in the shop. Ayub Khan’s MLC process is on. Action will be taken based on MLC and statement.
