The test of the main accused Sanjay Roy could not be conducted due to technical reasons.

A team of polygraph experts from Delhi’s Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) has reached Kolkata. During a polygraph test, while a person is answering questions, his physical reactions are measured with the help of a machine and it is ascertained whether he is speaking the truth or a lie.

The CBI had told the Supreme Court on Thursday that the local police had tried to suppress the case of rape and murder of a trainee woman doctor and by the time the central investigating agency took over the investigation, the crime scene had been tampered with. There are widespread protests across the country against the murder incident.
