PM Modi will not remain silent “: Sunil Sharma in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Pahgam attack

Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, Sunil Sharma said on Monday that PM Modi will not remain silent and will respond to the deadly Pahgam attack. He also said that every word is being investigated in this special session of the house because the eyes of the whole country are on us.

Addressing the assembly, Sharma said that Pakistan is trying to keep its story alive through some miscreants, but after 35 years, people have given a strong reply by remaining united and sending a message to the world that no trick can divide them.

Expressing solidarity with the victims of the Pahgam attack, Sharma said, “My heart is suffering from life’s loss in Pahgam. Jammu -Jammu and Kashmir are known on earth on heaven, where people want to spend their memorable moments, but at this place such an incident shakes the whole humanity.”

“The whole nation is in shock. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have raised their voice in united against terrorism, but we do not have answers to those who have lost their beloved people in the attack, especially the woman, who lost her husband in the attack, the young boy who loses his father,” he said.

He also said that not only Jammu and Kashmir, but the whole nation is looking at this session. “Currently every word is being investigated. We are those who did not eat anything after the attack, but took it to the streets and sent a message that it can take 35 years, but people are united and no trick can divide us.”

He also said that it is now the responsibility of every MLA to preserve this unity, and there should be no bad eye on unity.

He said that there is a strong government at the center. “The Center has already taken some measures after the attack. I believe the PM will not remain silent on this issue. We should not be in a hurry and wait to see the government’s response.”

He said that Pakistan wanted to keep its story alive in Kashmir through some miscreants as it has lost three times in traditional wars since 1947. He said, “The country has adopted some miscreants with a plan to keep its story alive in the valley. But, the way the people of Jammu and Kashmir responded to the miscreants are admirable,” he said.

Sharma said that MLAs should play their role by donating their salary to the victims (KNO)
