The Paris Olympics took place from 26 July to 11 August. For this, a 117-member Indian team had gone to Paris, out of which most of the athletes have returned. Indian players were welcomed after returning home. Now the players met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence 7 Lok Kalyan Marg on August 15 (Thursday), the video of which has surfaced.

Indian players gave many gifts to PM Modi. Shooter Manu Bhakar gave the pistol to PM Modi. Whereas wrestler Aman Sehrawat and hockey warrior PR Sreejesh handed over their jerseys. Indian hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh presented a hockey stick to the PM on behalf of the team. The PM also addressed the players during this period. However, the video of what the PM talked to the players has not been revealed yet.

Let us tell you that some Indian players have not returned home yet. Neeraj Chopra is in Germany, where he is to undergo surgery. Whereas wrestler Vinesh Phogat will return to India on 17th August. Badminton player PV Sindhu also did not become a part of this event. Sindhu had missed out on a historic hat-trick of medals by losing in the round of 16 during the Paris Olympics.

India won so many medals

India won a total of six medals, including one silver and five bronze medals, in the recently concluded Games. India got its first medal in shooting in Paris Olympics 2024, when Manu Bhakar won bronze in Women’s 10 meter Air Pistol. Then Manu Bhakar also got the second bronze in the mixed team event. Sarabjot Singh was also in the team with him.

Swapnil Kusale won the third bronze medal in men’s 50 meter rifle three position shooting. Then the men’s hockey team won the bronze medal and javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal. After this, wrestler Aman Sehrawat won bronze in men’s 57 kg freestyle.
