Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting the United States. On the second day of a three-day visit, he addressed the people of New York’s Indian community. Prime Minister Modi has since participated in a roundtable meeting with CEOs of several large technology companies. The Prime Minister also held bilateral meetings with many heads of state.

Prime Minister Modi holds meeting of technology leaders

The Ministry of External Affairs said that Prime Minister Modi met and interacted with CEOs and technology leaders of major US companies at a roundtable organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering in New York. Prime Minister Modi highlighted India’s development potential and discussed initiatives to promote cooperation and innovation in various fields.

PM Modi meets KP Sharma Oli

According to information provided by the Ministry of External Affairs, Prime Minister Modi also met with Nepalese Prime Minister Sharma Oli on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly. The two leaders discussed mutual interests in strengthening cooperation in various fields of India-Nepal’s age-old partnership.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted about the meeting and said: “Had a very pleasant meeting with Prime Minister Oli in New York. The friendship between India and Nepal is very strong and we look forward to providing further impetus to our relationship. Our conversation focused on issues such as energy, technology and trade.

Meeting with the Crown Prince of Kuwait and the President of Palestine

Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi also met Dr. Krishna Singh of Holtec International in New York. They discussed Holtec’s plans to expand production in India and the potential for greater cooperation in the nuclear energy sector. In addition, Prime Minister Modi also met with Kuwait Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Hamad Mubarak Al Sabah.

The two leaders reviewed the bilateral relations between India and Kuwait and discussed ways to further strengthen the historical ties and close people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, the Ministry of External Affairs said. The Prime Minister also held a bilateral meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel in New York.
