Rules and Conduct of Pitru Paksha
During Pitru Paksha, we offer water to the ancestors regularly. In the afternoon, water is poured towards the south direction. Black sesame seeds are mixed with water and Kush is placed on the hands. During Pitru Paksha, people donate food and clothes on the day when the ancestor died. On the same day, food is also offered to the poor or Brahmins. After this, the Pitru Paksha ceremony ends.
