2024-25 DSU Election: There is a lot of activity on the university campus regarding the Delhi University Students’ Union Elections 2024 (DUSU Elections). Candidates are seen starting their campaigns. In this episode, candidates from South Campus are also campaigning ahead of nominations. The nomination process for the Delhi University (DU) Students’ Union Elections 2024-25 was completed on September 17, voting will be held on September 27, and the results will be announced on September 28.

Last year, the student union elections were also held in September. In it, ABVP won three posts in the central panel, while NSUI won the post of vice president. In this election, many issues such as hostels, free Wi-Fi, fee hike, canteen, sanitary napkins for girls were strongly raised.

Hostels and fee hike are considered as a big issue among many issues of Delhi University. The fees keep increasing and not all students can afford it. Apart from this, the arrangement of sale of sanitary napkins has also been raised as an election issue. If the participation rate of women is 50%, then there should be 50% women candidates in Delhi University elections. Two out of four main posts of Delhi University should be reserved for women.

– University cleaning should be environmentally friendly.

– Children coming from far away to attend college should be provided with good food facilities.

– Some blocks of the college are air-conditioned while some are not.
– Two-fourth of the key posts in Delhi University should be reserved for women.

A student from an opposition student organisation said that the ABVP’s promise has not been fulfilled after a year. They had promised to provide free buses to students, but nothing like that happened. A student told reporters that the atmosphere in the entire college has become like elections. Delhi University treats elections as festivals. There is passion among us.
