Pinaka-MK 3 long range rocket will be ready soon… DRDO started work, know its power

In the Kargil war, the rocket system which had released sixes from the enemies sitting on high peaks. Now its advanced version will soon be available to the army. DRDO has started the fabrication work of Pinaka-MK3 rocket. The range of this rocket launcher will be 120 kilometers or more.

Pinaka-MK3 is a long range guided rocket system. Its two variants will be made. The first is of 120 km range and the second is of 300 km range. It will probably have rockets of 300 mm caliber. This was needed because the Chinese Army has installed rocket launchers of 300 km range near the Line of Actual Control i.e. the border.

The first two versions of this rocket system are deployed on the Pakistan and China border. The speed of this rocket system makes it most dangerous. Its speed is 5757.70 km per hour. That means it attacks at a speed of 1.61 km in one second. Last year itself, approval was given to purchase 6400 Pinaka rockets to increase the strength of the Indian Army.

Two types of variants are already deployed in the army

This rocket system is completely indigenous. Can be driven in any weather. By firing rapidly in a short time, it turns the enemy area into a graveyard. Last year its 24 tests were conducted. Mainly two variants are available. The third one is under construction. The first is Pinaka Mk-1 (Enhanced) Rocket System.

Most Rocket System

Name given after the bow of Lord Shiva

The second is Pinaka Area Denial Munition (ADM) rocket system. It is named after Lord Shiva’s bow ‘Pinak’. Pinaka rocket system fires 12 rockets in 44 seconds. That means one rocket every 4 seconds. From this 214 caliber launcher, 12 Pinaka rockets can be fired one after the other.

Range from 7 to 90 km, warhead of 100 kg

Its range can destroy the nearest target of 7 km to the enemy sitting 90 km away. The range of the first variant is 45 km and that of the second variant is 90 km. The third variant under construction will have a range of 120 to 300 kilometers. The length of this launcher ranges from 16 feet 3 inches to 23 feet 7 inches. Its diameter is 8.4 inches. Along with the range in the new Pinaka, the ability to install warheads will also increase.

Most Rocket System

High explosive fragmentation, cluster bomb, anti-personnel, anti-tank and landmine weapons can be installed on the Pinaka rocket fired from this launcher. This rocket can carry warheads up to 100 kg. This system was started in 1986.

PAK terrorists were destroyed in Kargil war

During the Kargil war, this missile was loaded on a Tatra truck and sent to high altitude areas. There this rocket had destroyed the enemy positions. All Pakistani enemies had to leave their bunkers built on the mountain and run away or were killed. Because this rocket attacks with such speed that the enemy does not get a chance to recover.

Most Rocket System

Pinaka Regiment will be deployed along the border of China and Pakistan to increase the operational preparedness of the armed forces. BEML will supply vehicles on which the rocket launcher will be placed. 6 Pinaka Regiment will also have 114 launchers, 45 command posts along with ‘Automated Gun Aiming and Positioning System’. The rocket regiment is planned to start operating in 2024.
