England vs West Indies: England defeated West Indies by 8 wickets in the first T20 match. Phil Salt proved to be England’s biggest hero in the game. Phil Salt’s explosive batting from the start of the innings laid the foundation for England’s victory. He scored 103 runs in 54 balls, including 9 fours and 6 sixes. He scored the third century of his T20 international career. Importantly, he scored three consecutive centuries against the West Indies. Phil Salt became the first player to score three centuries against the same team in a T20I match. No one before him could do this. Phil Salt completed his thousand runs in T20 international cricket after scoring one against West Indies. He completed these runs in 32 innings and became England’s second-fastest batsman to reach 1,000 runs in T20Is. He has tied Kevin Peterson. Peterson also completed 1000 runs in 32 T20I innings.
Phil Salt debuts in 2022
Phil Salt will make his T20 International debut for England in 2022. He has since scored 1047 runs in 34 games, including three centuries and three half-centuries. Apart from this, he also played 27 ODI matches in which he scored 866 runs with the bat.
