Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashed out at the Congress while addressing workers in Delhi over the BJP’s landslide victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections. The Prime Minister accused the Congress of dividing society just to win elections, but the people of Maharashtra rejected this. In these elections, he said, the public rejected Congress’ false promises and hypocrisy.
In his speech, the Prime Minister said that the Congress made promises during the elections that were impossible to fulfill. They think these people can amuse the public by making such promises, but the public knows everything and only sees whether a political party can fulfill its promises. Reacting to the Congress party making caste census an issue in the elections, the Prime Minister said they believe elections can be won by dividing society.

Raising the issue of waqf in his speech, the prime minister said the Congress adopted a policy of appeasement just to stay in power and enacted waqf-like laws in the country. The prime minister said waqf had no place in the Indian constitution. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the Waqf Board Act a betrayal of the Indian Constitution.
He said that after the Congress party fell from power, it had handed over many areas in Delhi and surrounding areas to the Waqf Board. We tell you that the central government also introduced a bill to amend the Waqf Board, but it was later sent to the JJJ.
