Mohan Bhagwat, Temple Masjid Controversy
Nowadays, every day some idol suddenly appears from under the mosque or dargah. Some Hindu leaders immediately filed a petition in court demanding that the mosque or mosque be excavated. The court also issued an order. After this, stories of temple ruins or idols lying in wells started circulating among the public. This disturbed the peace and tranquility of the area and created an atmosphere of unease. Today, especially in Uttar Pradesh, a similar environment is taking shape. The police and administration have the responsibility to control this situation but they remain silent. Seeing the apathy of various governments, RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat strongly commented on such activities. He warned that the aggressiveness of some neo-Hindu leaders was giving the country a bad name.
Hindus should maintain the image of brotherhood
Addressing a Hindu Sadbhavna event in Pune on Thursday, December 19, he said some people claiming to be Hindus should stop creating unnecessary Hindu-Muslim conflicts. Hindus have a tradition of generosity and tolerance. Now we should not create any controversy that may harm our heritage. Bhagwat’s remarks have now caused panic among Hindu organizations. Those who claim there is a temple beneath every mosque believe Bhagwat is destroying their movement. But how long can such behavior in Hindu society continue is also a fact. In a way, Bhagwat made it clear that restraint was necessary for Hindus to maintain their image of goodwill in the world.
Muslim rulers ban cow slaughter
RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat, while addressing a Hindu Sadbhavana event in Pune, said that despite Mughal Aurangzeb’s dictatorship, his Descendant Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar had banned cow slaughter. He said that no one is treated as a stranger here, which is the characteristic of Hindus. This speech by Mohan Bhagwat in the Sahjeevan Lecture Series remains a topic of discussion. Those who say that Bhagwat himself is a Hindu leader, how can they make such a statement? Bhagwat did surprise him. But if we look deeply into the history of Hindu tradition, we will know that Hindu society has never discriminated against any non-religious person. Bhagwat said this Hindu tradition should be maintained.
Bhagwat’s statement on population decline not understood
Recently, people started condemning the RSS supremo when he said that depopulation is not good for the future and said that depopulation is also dangerous for the prosperity of the country. But people couldn’t understand what he meant and started making inappropriate comments about him. Opposition parties believed he was calling on Hindus to increase their population. According to him, this must have been Bhagwat’s intention since Hindutva advocates were concerned about the decline of the Hindu population. And he has said couples in the country should be encouraged to have at least three children. At that time Asaduddin Owaisi even asked RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat when he would get married? When they got married and had three children, people took inspiration from them.
After the Ram Temple is built, participation is now required
Addressing the Hindu Seva Mahotsav in Pune, he said that now every day some new controversy comes up and this is not right. In fact, some people think that by creating such controversy they will become leaders of Hindus, then this is completely wrong. He made it clear that the issue of Rama temple in Ayodhya is different. The sentiments and devotion of millions of Hindus are closely associated with this temple. It’s now built. Therefore, temple-mosque disputes should not arise now. India now needs to prove that we can live together. Anyway, we have been living together for many years. He said there had been recent news that temple remains had been found under many mosques, prompting some people to seek legal action. They began calling for a court investigation. In this way, those who think that they will become Hindu leaders are not thinking correctly.
Christmas at Ramakrishna Mission
He placed special emphasis on the fact that diversity and harmony already existed in Indian society. Here, the ashram of the Ram Krishna Mission even celebrates Christmas with much joy and enthusiasm. He said that if we want to send a message to the world, then we should give an example. These remarks by RSS president Dr Mohan Bhagwat shocked everyone. Congress, in particular, was alarmed. He did not understand that if the RSS presented religious harmony in this way, its own image of secularism would also be tarnished. Additionally, Hindu leaders who search for the remains of temples beneath every mosque and mosque will be shocked. While he did not mention the name of any leader or place, he was certainly referring to the recent incidents in Jama Masjid in Moradabad and Sambhar. Hindu narrators are making strange remarks about mosques in these parts of Uttar Pradesh, which is destroying the peace there.
Satires by Shashi Tharoor
So far, no Hindu leaders have reacted, but Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the Ram temple, has come out to defend Bhagwat’s statement. On the other hand, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor wrote on social media platform X, “RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat says who is the minority and who is the majority?” here All is equal. The tradition in this country is that everyone can worship as they wish. We just need to live in harmony and obey the law. ” Shashi Tharoor wrote that even he could not have put it better than this. He also expressed hope that other members of the Sangh Parivar would pay attention to Bhagwat’s statement. The country Major party leader Manish Tiwari said why Mohan Bhagwat did not propose this to those bent on insulting the Constitution. The uneasiness in the main opposition Congress is palpable if the RSS chief starts making such secular remarks. , then his politics will be in trouble.
The result of polarization
But the real question is, will Hindu society, which has become restless in recent years, accept the advice of Sangh leader Mohan Bhagwat? If Hindu leaders do not accept his appeal, then the question arises to whom he proposed this. Indeed, commotion about the mosque is being created in every street, town and city. After Kashgar and Mathura, the Hindu leaders reached Moradabad and Sambhar. There, they also insisted on a court investigation into the ruins of the temple beneath the mosque. The Dargah of Ajmer Sharif also started to be known as a Hindu temple. From this point of view, it is necessary to control such people. So if the RSS chief comes forward and advises Hindus to exercise restraint, then maybe his workers can succeed in reaching out to the people. But vote bank politics has made people irrational. They can only see temples or mosques. This will also damage India’s international image.
