Many poor families were left homeless after the bulldozing operation in Balechi. They now sit on a cot outside the house with their family belongings. Homeless people tell them they have lived here for 40 to 50 years. No department has said anything. After being notified, they suddenly started demolishing the houses.

Bulldozer operation demolishes 23 houses
The bulldozing operation started around 12 noon and ended at 5 pm. This time, a total of 23 illegal buildings were razed to the ground. The action was taken following an order from the High Court. People build illegal houses on government land and live here.

Let us tell you that action has been taken against illegal constructions in Baraich and cleared with bulldozers. The houses have been vacated by people who have illegally occupied government land. Accordingly, 23 houses and shops at Wazirganj market in Sarai Jagana were demolished by bulldozers. The action was taken following an order from the High Court.
