The SCO meeting was held in Islamabad four days ago. On the day of Kawa Choate, terrorists opened fire indiscriminately at a tunnel construction site on the national highway in Ganderbargaganjir area. Seven innocent people lost their lives. Shahnawaz Mir, a doctor from Badgam, was killed in the attack. Shashi Abrol, a Kathua native who worked as a designer in the tunnel, was also shot and killed.
Five workers were seriously injured in the attack
Apart from this, Gurmeet Singh, a mechanic from Gurdaspur in Punjab, Anil Kumar Shukla, a machinery manager from Madhya Pradesh, Fahman Nashi, a safety manager from Bihar Er and Bihar workers Mohammad Khalif and Karim also died. Apart from this, five workers, all working in tunnel projects run by the central government, were seriously injured in the terrorist attack.
Immediately after the attack, security forces surrounded the entire area. After initial investigation, it was revealed that the terrorists were once again linked to Pakistan. Thereafter, the patience of National Conference president and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah, who had been advocating for talks with Pakistan, was broken.

The Resistance Front (TRF), a group of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has admitted responsibility for the terrorist attack. The terrorists carried out the attack when employees and workers of the Ganderbal Tunnel Project were returning to the camp late at night. TRF chief Sheikh Sajjad Gul was the mastermind of the attack.

It is reported that terrorists have been conducting reconnaissance here for a month. Who comes to the construction site, when, at what time, for how long, and where does he live? How many locals and how many non-Kashmiris are here? Collected everyone’s information. Reacting to the attack, Home Minister Amit Shah said those involved in the dastardly attack will not survive.
After the attack, search operations were carried out in the forests of Ganderbal and Jaganjir starting at night. Security forces are on high alert and National Intelligence Agency (NIA) teams are searching for terrorists at every corner.
