PDP MLAs oppose proposal to abrogate Article 370 on first day of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly session, CM Omar says- It doesn’t matter

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah

Today is the first day of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly session. The Speaker himself was elected today. On the first day of the meeting, PDP MLA Waheed ur Rehman Parra moved a resolution against the abrogation of Article 370. BJP MLAs opposed the proposal. After that, there was a huge commotion in the house. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said opposition to the Article 370 proposal was not important.

CM Abdullah said if there was any motive behind this, he would discuss it with us first. We know one member is preparing for this. The reality is that the people of Jammu and Kashmir do not accept the decision taken on August 5, 2019. If he had accepted that, today’s outcome would have been different. No single Member can decide how the House considers and discusses this issue. The proposal being made today is not that important, it’s just for cameras. If there was any purpose behind this, they would definitely discuss it with us first. Thereafter, he requested the Speaker to adjourn the meeting. after this
