Something keeps happening in the Pakistan cricket world and it becomes a topic of discussion. This time, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the new player contract list for female players, and some surprising decisions also appeared. The PCB has not made room for former Pakistan women’s team player Nida Dar in the new contract. Only 16 such players have been given a place in the new PCB women’s player contract this time, and the main reason is believed to be the team’s continuous poor performance. Even in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup held in the UAE in October, the Pakistan women’s team failed to qualify from the group.
Except for Nida, these players also did not receive quotas
Apart from Nida Dar, experienced players Aliya Riaz, Sidra Nawaz, Anosha Naseer, Iman Fatima and Shawal Zulfiqar also did not get a place in the new player contracts released by the PCB. In 2023, the PCB gave away 20 players on 12-month central contracts, but this time the number has been reduced. Regarding the new central contract, a PCB source said that this new agreement has been prepared keeping in mind the recent performances and the ICC Women’s Future Tour plan (2025-29), in which it was decided to include young players.
Muneeba Ali and Fatima Sana promoted
Looking at the new player contracts of the Pakistan women’s team, the current captain Fatima Sana has been promoted and is currently an A-level player. In addition, Muneeba Ali has also been promoted. Apart from this, Gul Firoza and Ramin Shamim also secured their spots in Group D. If we look at the central contract of PCB, Fatima Sana, Muniba Ali, Sidra Amin all belong to category A. Category B Nashra Sundhu, Saadia Iqbal. Diana Baig and Omaima Sohail are in category C. Ghulam Fatima, Gul Firoza, Naziha Alvi, Ramin Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Syeda Arub Shah, Tasmiya Rubab, Tooba Hasan, Umm e Hani got Category D seats.
