Recently, Esha triggered a storm on social media by leveling multiple accusations against Rupali. In response, Rupali filed a defamation suit against Esha, seeking compensation of Rs 50 crore. The controversy took another twist when actress Payal Rohatgi expressed her views on the matter.
Payal Rohatgi recently took to Instagram Stories to share her views questioning Rupali’s actions and motives. Talking about Rupali’s relationship history with husband Ashwin K. Verma, Payal said, “I don’t know what your truth is, but you were married to Ashwin K. I met him when you were both dating. “This is retribution for what you did to his first wife. “
Payal went on to question Rupali’s decision to seek such a large amount in the defamation suit. “Why do you want so much money? Don’t you have enough? Do people who make TV series understand what 500 million means?” she wrote, suggesting that Rupali should not focus on financial needs but provide evidence and resolve the matter in court thing.
The controversy started when Esha Verma accused Rupali of being controlling and manipulative, claiming that she drove a wedge between her and her father Ashwin. The 26-year-old Esha, the daughter of Ashwin’s second wife Sapna Verma, often shares glamorous pictures on social media. She initially posted a video alleging abuse, which was later deleted, and she also made her social media accounts private.
In her defence, Rupali said she chose to file the defamation suit to protect her reputation. She mentioned that while she initially remained silent, she felt compelled to respond after her young son became embroiled in the controversy.
