Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday announced that he will atone for the alleged desecration of Tirumala Laddu Prasadam. For this, he will participate in 11-day ‘Prayashchitta Diksha’ at Sri Dashavatara Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Nambur in Guntur district from September 22. He expressed deep sorrow over the insult done to Tirumala Laddu Prasadam. Pawan Kalyan said he was hurt by the incident which took place during the previous government of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“I am deeply saddened. To be honest, I feel very cheated from the bottom of my heart. I pray to Lord Venkateswara to give us and all Sanatanis strength in this sad time by your unprovoked grace,” he wrote in a post on the social media platform.

He further wrote, “Now, I apologize to God, ask for forgiveness, and take a vow of atonement and fast for eleven days. “The second half of the eleven-day atonement, on October 1 and 2, I will go to Tirupati to meet the Lord personally, seek forgiveness, and then complete my atonement in the presence of God. Earlier, Pawan Kalyan stressed the need for the formation of the “Sanatan Dharma Raksha Board” while responding to this issue.

Allegation of using inferior ghee to make laddu prasadam

The sentiments of Sanatan Dharma followers across the country have been hurt after the incident of Laddoo Prasadam at Tirupati temple being cooked with substandard ghee came to light. Let us tell you that a few days ago, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu made sensational allegations against the erstwhile Jagan Mohan Reddy government. He said that laboratory tests have confirmed that the ghee samples used to prepare the Tirupati temple Laddu Prasadam contained animal fat.

The contract has been awarded to AR Dairy of Jagan Govt.

AR Dairy, a company that supplies ghee to the Tirupati temple, had been awarded the contract during the Jagan government. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Congress president YS Sharmila Reddy met Governor Abdul Nazeer at Raj Bhavan on Saturday evening and urged a CBI probe into the alleged adulteration of ghee in Tirumala Laddu Prasadam. Former Prime Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy also filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking a judicial commission to probe the allegations of Chandrababu Naidu. He claimed that the TDP was making such baseless allegations for political gains.
