A major accident occurred in Patna, the capital of Bihar state. A worker died in an accident in a metro tunnel near the NIT turn exit. Two workers have been rescued. It is understood that the three workers were run over by the locomotive due to brake failure. Local people said that all three workers died in the accident.
It is understood that workers are working night shifts in the tunnel. At the same time, the brakes of a locomotive failed and the worker was crushed. Locals told us the locomotive was full. Another said the locomotive was overloaded and had to be loaded onto a truck and sent inside.

Three workers are working in the tunnel
Locals told reporters that the internal road was completely sloped. Due to braking, the locomotive rushed in and collided, and the workers were buried inside. According to local reports, the accident killed three people, including the pilot. Pir Bahor police chief Mohammad Halim, who arrived at the scene, said three workers were working in the tunnel and two of them were injured and have been sent to the hospital.

The police chief quoted the contractor as saying that one worker died in the tunnel during the accident. He did not name any of the laborers or confirm the claims made by locals.

Claims after two workers died in hospital
However, local people and workers who arrived at the scene said that the two workers admitted to the hospital had also died, but the local police did not disclose any information in this regard.
