Passengers on the Garipurat Express bound for Mumbai from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh were thrown into panic when a snake suddenly emerged from the seat. The snake emerged from the air-conditioned carriage of the train and started crawling on the train berth.
The train was approaching Kassala railway station when passengers spotted the snake. Some passengers recorded the scene on their mobile phones and it went viral on social media.

He said that such incidents are rare, but the railway department attaches great importance to the matter and puts the safety of passengers first. However, the coach was separated at Chhatrapati Shivaji terminal and the train was sent back to Jabalpur.
