Paris Olympics 2024 Closing Ceremony: The closing ceremony of Paris Olympics 2024 ended late on Sunday (11 August). The Olympic Games, which lasted for almost three weeks, have ended. On behalf of India, two-time Olympic medalist hockey players PR Sreejesh and Manu Bhaker were chosen as the Indian flag bearers for the ‘Parade of Nations’ in the closing ceremony. Famous as ‘Wall of India’, Sreejesh ended his career by winning a bronze medal for India in the Olympic Games.

In the bronze medal that India won by defeating Spain 2-1 in hockey, Sreejesh thwarted many goal attacks of Spain. He also made a brilliant defense in the quarter-final shoot-out against Great Britain, a match in which the Indian hockey team had played with 10 players.

India’s medals in Paris Olympics

Manu Bhakar won the first medal in Paris Olympics, bronze in 10 meter air pistol. Then the pair of Manu Bhakar-Sarbjot Singh won the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team event. After this, Swapnil Kusale won the bronze medal in Men’s 50 meter rifle three position.
