General Zhang held one-on-one talks with Army Chief General Asim Munir on Wednesday, followed by delegation-level talks. The statement said the talks focused on “issues of common concern, regional security dynamics, regional stabilization measures and strengthening bilateral defense cooperation.” General Zhang introduced Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts. Terrorism has become a major topic of discussion between the two countries due to increasing attacks on Chinese citizens working in Pakistan.
