Cricket is a sport full of uncertainty and we see examples of this every day. There is some international cricket going on every day, but when Pakistan takes the field, the likelihood of setting some major or embarrassing records increases. A similar situation emerged in the second T20I match between Zimbabwe and Pakistan. In fact, this game was special in many ways. The match, played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, saw hosts Zimbabwe win the toss and decide to bat first, much to the team’s detriment.
Pakistan beats Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe’s innings started well but something suddenly happened and the entire team collapsed after scoring only 57 runs in 12.4 overs. The first pair of Brian Bennett and Tadivashe Marumani started the game well. Both scored 37 points in four overs but Tadivanashe Marumani was eliminated after scoring 16 points. His successor was Abbas Afridi. With the same scoreline, another opener, Brian Bennett, was also out. After that, the process of getting batsmen dismissed started and didn’t stop. After the first wicket fell in 37 runs, the entire team returned to the pavilion for the next 20 overs. Just like that, Zimbabwe scored the lowest score in T20I cricket. This is the fourth lowest ever T20I score by a full member team.

In the next match, Pakistan won the match by 10 wickets on the third ball. Just like that, Pakistan took an undisputed 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. Pakistan won the match by just 33 balls, setting a new record. In fact, this was Pakistan’s biggest win in T20Is. For the first time, Pakistan won a T20I match by so few balls. Even strong teams like Australia and India have not been able to achieve this feat so far. Let us tell you that England holds the record for winning a T20I by a minimum of 19 wickets among official member teams.
