Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd Test: Bangladesh cricket team has created havoc on the Pakistan tour. It has taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series here. While it has also tightened its grip in the second match. Today (3 September) Bangladesh has a historic opportunity to clean sweep Pakistan in its own home.

If Pakistan loses against Bangladesh in their own home, then it will be like being embarrassed in front of their own fans. Many players like Babar Azam, captain Shan Masood could not leave their mark in the series. Both these test matches were played in Rawalpindi. Bangladesh won the first match by 10 wickets.

While in the second match, Bangladesh has got a target of 185 runs to win. In response, the visiting team Bangladesh has scored 42 runs without any loss till the end of the fourth day’s play. Shadman Islam (9 runs) and Khurram Shahzad (31 runs) are unbeaten for the team.

Now on the last day of the second test match i.e. today (3 September), Bangladesh needs 143 runs to win. It also has 10 wickets in hand. If Bangladesh wins this match, it will be its first test series win against Pakistan, that too with a clean sweep.

This will also be a historic victory for the Bangladesh team. So far, it has defeated only West Indies in a Test series among the big teams. The Bangladesh team has defeated the Windies team not once but twice. Earlier in 2009, it had clean swept West Indies 2-0 in its home ground.

After this, in 2018-19, Bangladesh team defeated the Caribbean team 2-0 at home. Apart from Windies, Bangladesh has defeated only Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan in bilateral Test series. Bangladesh has not been able to defeat teams like Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia, England, India and South Africa in bilateral Test series so far.

After losing the toss and batting first, Pakistan team scored 274 runs. After this, Bangladesh team had a very bad start. The visiting team lost 6 wickets for just 26 runs. But Liton Das came at number 7 and played an innings of 138 runs in 228 balls and took Bangladesh team to 262 runs in the first innings. However, Pakistan got a lead of 12 runs in the first innings.

After this, the Pakistan team was completely on the backfoot in the second innings and surrendered to the Bangladeshi bowlers at just 172 runs. In this way, the Bangladesh team got a target of just 185 runs to win this second test.
