Nadda claimed that terror attacks had come down significantly and said the lifespan of a terrorist under Prime Minister Narendra Modi was “just a week” but the parties were working hard to negotiate with terrorists and “anti-nationalists”. He repeatedly asked people at the three events whether they wanted jailed terrorists and separatists to be released and Article 370 restored?
“They (NC, Congress and those who made a deal with them) are non-nationalist forces. Those who talk about releasing terrorists and starting cross-border trade and those who made a deal with them are not nationalist forces. Only Pakistan Defense Minister gave They issued certificates. What he said is known to everyone,” Nadda said at public rallies and road shows.
Nadda said: “Pakistan Defense Minister said NC and Indian National Congress are pushing their agenda to rehabilitate Jammu and Kashmir and restore Article 370. Will you support Pakistan’s certification? Remember, they are not nationalist.”
Accusing the Congress, NC and People’s Democratic Party of “corruption” and “sabotage” of Jammu and Kashmir, Nadda said: “The three political dynasties – Abdullahs, Muftis and Nehru – The Gandhis – they have harmed Kashmir. They have brought rampant corruption and destroyed this beautiful country.”
Nadda claimed that they wanted Jammu and Kashmir to return to the conditions that prevailed in the 1990s.
He asked people, “Leaders in North Carolina and Congress will try to frame you with their rhetorical tactics, which they have been doing for their own vested political interests for the past seventy years.”
While casting his vote for party candidates in the Union Territory, Nadda said the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are crucial not only for the security and stability of the region but also for the stability of India as a whole.
The BJP president also emphasized that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed India’s political landscape by eradicating corruption and implementing people-friendly governance.
“This is not just an election for the BJP or any other party. This election is for stability in Jammu and Kashmir and to make India strong. It is not about electing MLAs. It is about bringing Jammu and Kashmir into Mainstream development. This will bring stability to Jammu and Kashmir,” Nadda said.
“This is an election between the forces of nationalism and the forces of destruction,” Nadda said.
“I am confident that the nationalist forces will win and the destructive and divisive forces will suffer a crushing defeat. This election will ensure stability not only in Jammu and Kashmir but in the entire country.”
Nadda said this is also an election to end the decade-long injustice in Jammu and Kashmir and mainstream it into the development of the country.
The BJP chief lauded the people’s enthusiasm for democracy as voters turned out in large numbers to vote in the first phase of elections. He said that 60 per cent people voted in the first phase of elections, which showed that Kashmir was quickly returning to normalcy.
“There is no fear in voting. In the past the turnout was 8% and the army would take them (people with security) to vote and this time the turnout was 60%. How people voted in great numbers. We hope in other phases it will be more High. That’s the change,” he said.
Nadda highlighted the plight faced by certain communities in the past after the implementation of Article 370 and recalled the plight of the Valmiki community and West Pakistani refugees who were denied their basic rights in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The Valmikis were only allowed to be scavengers. They could not vote or be recognized as national subjects. Refugees from West Pakistan who came here in 1947, such as former prime ministers Manmohan Singh and Prime Minister L.K. Advani) cannot vote in the assembly elections,” he commented.
Nadda praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for meeting the long-standing demand for the abolition of Jammu and Kashmir’s dual constitution, national flag and the post of prime minister.
“BJP and BJS demanded ‘one nation, one constitution and one flag’.” Under Modi’s leadership, this resolution came to fruition. Now, there are reservations for Gujjars and Paharis, and children of Valmiki can study in medical and engineering colleges. They can now aspire to get government jobs,” he said. Nadda claimed that the BJP has deep connections with Jammu and said the region’s hero Pandit Prem Nath Dogra ) was the first national president of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which later became known as the Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJP).
“BJP is the largest political party in the world today. In 1953, a year after the formation of BJS, Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee launched the first agitation against ‘Do Vidhan, Do Nishan, Do Pradhan’ in Jammu and Kashmir. He was arrested in Lakhanpur in June 1953 when Sheikh Abdullah was the prime minister and he died in a jail in Srinagar,” he said.
Nadda said the Bharatiya Janata Party responded to this bill by repealing Article 370 in the Indian Parliament on August 5, 2019, under the command of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“In 1992, Modi came to Jammu to attend a rally led by Murli Manohar Joshi. He had said that they will go to Lal Chowk and one day, we will abrogate Article 370. He passed The abrogation of Article 370 fulfills his promise,” he added.
The Bharatiya Janata Party chief has condemned Kashmir’s “royalty”, accusing them of corruption and hindering the region’s progress.
“These dynasties – Abdullah, Mufti and Gandhi – have promoted scams in banks, power sector and even cricket federations. They want to bring back the dark days of the 1990s,” he charged.
Nadda warned that these political forces were advocating for the resumption of trade across the Line of Control, which he claimed was being used to smuggle arms and explosives into Jammu and Kashmir.
“In the name of trade, terrorism thrives. You know how arms and explosives are smuggled through the Line of Control trade route. Terrorism invades Jammu and Kashmir in the name of trade. But under Modi, terrorism has The incidents have also reduced. Today, no terrorist can survive for more than a week. However, they want to free the terrorists and restore Article 370,” he urged.
“They (North Carolina Congress) are trying to sell hate in the shop of love. They are using one sect against another, one community against another, dividing society to achieve their plot. But they will never succeed,” he added.
The BJP president also emphasized that the Modi government has changed India’s political landscape by eradicating corruption and implementing people-friendly governance.
“When the Congress was in power, there was casteism, sectarianism, vote bank politics, divide and rule, dynastic politics and corruption. Well, this is the order of the day,” he said.
Nadda said that after Modi became prime minister in 2014, he brought major changes to politics, giving birth to pro-people politics, good governance, responsive governance, responsible governance and report card politics.
“This is what the BJP under Modi has done. He ended dynastic rule, challenged caste-based politics and introduced a politics of good governance, accountability and development for all -” Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas”. Modi has changed the definition and culture of Indian politics. That is why we need your support,” he said.
Nadda issued a warning to those calling for the restoration of Article 370 and warned that they would push Jammu and Kashmir back into the hands of terrorists.
“Today they said they will restore Article 370. They want to free terrorists. They want to bargain with terrorists. They want to plunge J&K back into terrorism. We are holding elections in J&K and Pakistan is applying pressure. India is giving them a Appropriate reply. There is peace,” he said.
Nadda took a dig at Pakistan and said today terrorism got a befitting reply.
“You see how Pakistan is focusing on these elections. How they are trying to disrupt these elections. So, this is an election to keep Jammu and Kashmir safe and move forward on the path of development. This is an election for the development of Jammu. Jammu Mo has changed a lot,” he added.
On releasing the terrorists and resuming talks with Pakistan, the BJP president said “under Modi’s rule this will never happen, they will never be released”.
On the restoration of statehood, Nadda said the government is committed to transforming the Union Territory into a state again.
“The Prime Minister has personally assured us of this. But the National Council and Congress are interfering politically in this,” he added.
When reviewing India’s global rise under Modi, Nadda pointed out that although many countries are dealing with economic challenges after the epidemic, India has become a bright spot.
“We provide free rations to 800 million people, control inflation and maintain growth rates. India is now the fifth largest economy in the world and under Modi’s leadership we will soon be the third largest economy.”
