Everyone is shocked by the serial pager explosions in parts of Lebanon and Syria. The attack was so well planned that people all over Lebanon were in fear because of the sound of pager explosions. The attack was aimed at the Lebanese extremist group Hezbollah. Lebanon believes that Israel is responsible for the attack. In this whole incident, the Taiwanese company that manufactures pagers has responded to the incident.

Xu Qingguang, founder and chairman of Taiwan’s Golden Apollo Company, which has attracted attention for the attack, said that the products that exploded are not ours. These products only use our brand name. We are a responsible company. But this incident is very shameful.

He said that our company does not produce these pagers. These pagers are made by a European company. Our company has the right to use our company’s brand. However, he did not reveal the name of the company that prepared these pagers.

When and where did the explosion occur?

A series of explosions began at 3:30 p.m. local time in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, and several areas in southern Lebanon, especially in the eastern Bekaa Valley, which are considered Hezbollah strongholds.

The explosions lasted for about an hour, according to Reuters. Locals in the Daniya area said they continued to hear the explosions for about an hour.

Why do Hezbollah fighters use pagers?

After the attack on Israel on October 7 last year, the top leadership of Hezbollah ordered its militants to use pagers instead of mobile phones or the Internet for communication. The reason behind this is that the Israeli Army and Mossad are constantly tracking the location of Hezbollah militants. The characteristic of pagers is that their location cannot be tracked.
