UPSC Archaeologist Recruitment 2024: If you have studied Archaeology subject then UPSC has brought a golden opportunity for you. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for recruitment to 67 vacant posts of Superintending Archaeology under Archaeological Survey of India. Applications for these recruitments have started from 17 August 2024. The last date to apply is 5 September 2024. Educational Qualification to apply
- To apply for this recruitment, candidate must have Masters in Archaeology or Masters in Indian History (with Ancient Indian History or Medieval Indian History as subject).
- Candidates having Masters degree in Anthropology or Geology can also apply.
- Candidates who have taken Advanced Diploma in Archaeology from a recognized university are also eligible to apply for this recruitment.
- Along with this, candidates who have 3 years field experience in Archaeology can also apply.
Application Fee and Age Limit
To apply in this recruitment, female candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD category will not have to pay any fee. Male candidates from General, OBC, EWS category will have to deposit an amount of Rs 25. Application fee can be paid in cash in any branch of SBI Bank or can be paid through net banking or any online medium. Without paying the application fee, the application of any candidate will not be accepted.

Step 4- Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link given on the next page.
Step 5- Click on the ‘Superintending Archaeologist’ tab on the new page that opens.
Step 6- Fill all the details asked in the form and pay the fee.

Selection will be done without interview, this will be the salary
The candidates selected for these posts will be given salary as per Level 10 Grade 7. That is, these posts will get a salary of Rs 58,600. Apart from this, written examination will not be conducted for this recruitment. The commission will call for interview after checking the documents, mark sheets etc. of the candidates. Selection will be done on passing this interview. It is advised for the candidates to check the official website before applying.
