Oppo Find X8 series will allegedly offer these iPhone 16 Pro features

The Chinese smartphone maker is expected to launch the Oppo Find X8 series in the coming months, with one source claiming that the company’s upcoming smartphones will offer some features from Apple’s latest iPhone 16 series, along with accessories that offer similar features. The Oppo Find X7 successor is said to feature a flat OLED display and be powered by a flagship chipset from MediaTek, with the chip maker expected to launch it in October.

Oppo Find X8 series features (leaked)

A tipster going by the name Digital Chat Station (Chinese translation) has revealed details of the rumored Oppo Find X8 series on Weibo. The phone will reportedly come with magnetic wireless charging, which will allow chargers or accessories (like the latest leaked one) to stay securely connected.

While the leaker didn’t specify if the new magnetic wireless charging support is Qi2 compatible or a proprietary solution, Oppo is expected to offer more magnet-based features, including new accessories like wireless power banks. Apple’s MagSafe charging technology also allows users to connect accessories like slim wallets, mobile stands, or power banks.

Oppo isn’t the first Android smartphone maker to launch a phone with magnetic wireless charging support — the Infinix Note 40 Pro (review) launched earlier this year uses a proprietary MagCharge system to charge the phone wirelessly. The tipster claims Xiaomi has also developed a 30W “ultra-thin” magnetic wireless charger.

According to Digital Chat Station, all models in the Oppo Find X8 series will be equipped with a Dynamic Island camera hole similar to the one found on Apple’s recent iPhone models. It is not yet clear whether the larger camera module will be as large as the one on Apple’s phones, or whether it will offer additional software features.

Last month, it was reported that the Oppo Find X8 series will also introduce another feature, a dedicated button for triggering quick actions such as launching the camera app and taking pictures. This may be a clone of the camera control button that comes with the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max models that Apple launched earlier this month.
