The Oppo Find X8 series is expected to launch in China soon, and details of the company’s next-generation flagship smartphones have been leaked online over the past few weeks. A source has revealed the expected launch date of the Oppo Find X8 series, which is expected to debut in China. At the same time, the company also gave us a glimpse of part of the display of this smartphone, which is side by side with the recently launched iPhone 16 Pro models, which have very narrow display bezels.

Oppo Find X8 series release date (leaked)

According to tipster Digital Chat Station (Chinese) in a post on Weibo, the Oppo Find X8 series will launch in China “as early as” October 21. The phone will likely arrive a few days after the release of Android 15-based ColorOS 15, which is expected to be released on October 17.

The tipster, who has a good track record of leaking information about unreleased devices, goes on to claim that the Oppo Find X8 series will also be joined by the Oppo Pad 3 Pro and Enco X3. Previous reports have also suggested that Oppo will launch new accessories equipped with magnets, such as the recently leaked magnetic wireless charging power bank.

If the tipster’s claims are true, there are only a few weeks left until the Oppo Find X8 is released in China. Oppo Chief Product Officer Pete Lau posted an image on X (originally on Twitter) showing two smartphones side by side. The icon at the bottom of the left smartphone shows that it is an iPhone, while the icon on the right shows that it is an Oppo phone running ColorOS.

While Lau’s post did not mention the name of the Android smartphone, tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) responded to his post, saying the two phones are the recently launched iPhone 16 Pro and the upcoming Oppo Find X8. The user also claimed that Oppo’s phone will have thinner bezels than Apple’s flagship iPhone.

According to previous reports, the successor to the Oppo Find X7 will be powered by the alleged Dimensity 9400 chipset, which MediaTek has yet to announce. This chipset is expected to be announced soon and will compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is likely to be launched in October. More details about this smartphone are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
