The One Nation, One Choice bill may be tabled in Parliament tomorrow
The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party at the Center issued three sentences of whip to the Lok Sabha MPs. The party issued the whip on Tuesday. The whip was said to have been issued by the BJP over the Bill related to One Nation, One Election. It was earlier discussed that the government would table the One Nation One Bill in the Lok Sabha today, Monday, but it was postponed due to some reasons.
Now, after the BJP issued three lashes, it is believed that the government will table the bill in the Lok Sabha tomorrow. The situation will become clear after the revised agenda is released in the Lok Sabha tomorrow. The bill was included in the business list of the Lok Sabha on Friday and copies of the bill were distributed to all lawmakers on the same day, but the bill was later removed from the revised business list of the Lok Sabha.
The JPC may be established immediately after the bill is introduced
According to sources, the bill will be sent to the JPC for introduction and detailed discussion to reach consensus. It is said that the JPC will be formed tomorrow, in which the list of members of various parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress Party, will also be announced.
What is one country, one election?
In fact, discussions are underway to hold all elections in the country simultaneously. Modi’s central government agrees. One nation, one election means that along with Lok Sabha elections, state assembly elections should also be held. Apart from this, elections to local bodies, municipalities, nagar panchayat and gram panchayat should also be held simultaneously. Prime Minister Modi himself agrees with this and has advocated it many times.
