On seeing Sandeep Ghosh, the crowd started shouting thief-thief, CBI searched his house for 12 hours

The CBI team in Kolkata searched the residence of Dr. Sandeep Ghosh on Sunday. The search operation lasted for about 12 hours and the team came out of Sandeep Ghosh’s house around 8:30 pm on Sunday evening. When the CBI team was coming out of the house after completing the raid, Dr. Ghosh was standing at the main gate. During this time, a large crowd gathered at the spot and people shouted slogans against him “thief…thief…”.

The principal of the former RG Kar Hospital heard the noise of the crowd and immediately closed the door and went inside. Kolkata Police and CRPF took immediate action to bring the situation under control. During the raid, the CBI has also seized some important documents from Dr. Ghosh’s house.

Let us tell you that, to investigate the alleged financial irregularities in the Kolkata rape-murder case RG Kar Hospital, the CBI team reached the house of the hospital’s former principal Dr. Sandeep Ghosh. Apart from this, the CBI’s anti-corruption branch has also raided four more places. These included the house of Dr. Debashish Som, demonstrator of forensic medicine and toxicology at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

While one team of CBI reached the residence of Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, the second team reached the residence of Dr. Debashish Som, Professor of Forensic Medicine at RG Kar and the third team reached the residence of Sanjay Vashisht, former MSVP of RG Kar Hospital. The Anti-Corruption Branch of CBI reached the administrative block of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and conducted investigation.

Former Deputy Superintendent of the hospital, Akhtar Ali, had lodged a complaint naming Dr. Debashish Som regarding the corruption and irregularities taking place in the medical college and hospital.

A CBI official said the action was taken on the directions of the High Court, which had transferred the investigation from the state-formed Special Investigation Team (SIT) to the agency. The CBI on Saturday collected the necessary documents from the SIT and started the process of re-registering the FIR. The High Court had issued the directions on the petition of Akhtar Ali, former deputy superintendent of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, who had requested an ED probe into the corruption that took place during the tenure of Sandeep Ghosh.

The rest of the four junior doctors were tested because they were present on the spot that night. They can reveal the big truth and reality related to this case. The victim lady doctor had dinner with them the night before the incident. They can shed light on what happened that night. A volunteer was tested because he has a lot of information. The CBI is continuously trying to solve the mystery of the Kolkata rape case, but has not been able to reach any conclusion except the arrest of one accused Sanjay Roy. Apart from recreation of the crime scene, the CBI has tried all the methods. Dozens of people are being continuously questioned.
