Omar Abdullah has severely criticised People’s Democratic Party chairperson Mehbooba Mufti, saying she has brought nothing but destruction to Jammu and Kashmir.
“If there is anyone who played the biggest role in bringing the BJP into Jammu and Kashmir, it was the PDP and its leadership,” Abdullah told reporters in Anantnag district.
“She has not apologised for pushing Jammu and Kashmir towards destruction. Why is she targeting me? Let her clear her name first,” Omar added.
Umar further asked why did the PDP enter into an alliance with the BJP in 2015? We were ready to hand over the government to them and the Nationalist Congress and the Congress had offered support first to Mufti Sahab and then to Mehbooba Mufti after his death, but why did they refuse? What were their weaknesses that forced them to work with the BJP?
