Omar Abdullah to hold 3 strategic rallies in Jammu ahead of final phase of JK polls

Srinagar, September 25: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) president and former state chief minister Omar Abdullah is said to be addressing three major public rallies in Jammu province on Friday (September 27).

The rallies are part of his campaign for the ongoing JK Legislative Assembly elections, which will enter its final phase on October 1. In the final phase, 40 seats will go to polls, including Bandipora, Kupwara, Baramulla in Kashmir and Udhampur in Jammu, Samba and Kathua in Jammu division.

The rallies will be held in Udhampur East, Vijaypur and Jammu North constituencies, the JKNC said in an official communiqué.

The statement said the rallies marked an important stage in the JKNC’s campaign strategy and that the vice president aimed to “connect directly with voters” through these rallies.

The communiqué stated that Omar will propose solutions to regional challenges and reiterate the party’s position on the central government’s decisions on and after August 5, 2019.

Providing details about the rallies, the communique said Abdullah’s first rally will be held at 11:30 am at the HD Palace in Dehma (Ward No. 60), Khoon District, Udhampur East, in support of Udhampur. JKNC candidate Sunil Verma from Dhampur East ward.

After this, a second rally will be held at Aureum Grand Hotel in Thandi Khui (ward 71), Vijpur at 2:00 pm in support of JKNC candidate Rajesh Pargotra for Vijpur Assembly constituency.

The final rally will be held at Thathar near Radha Swami Ashram in Jammu North District (Ward No. 79) at 3:30 pm in support of North Carolina Assembly candidate Ajay Ku, the bulletin said. Mal Sadhotra (Ajay Kumar Sadhotra).
