Oman Mosque Attack: More Than 700 trapped
According to reports on X, formerly Twitter, a mass shooting incident near Wadi Kabeer in Muscat, Oman, has claimed the lives of over five people. While security personnel and the assailants trade gunfire, reports suggest about 700 people are stuck inside, according to Al Bawaba News.
Local websites claim that the attack was directed against a group of Shiites from an Asian nation. Omani counterterrorism forces have arrived on the location in response. The Imam Ali Mosque in the Wadi Al Kabir neighborhood of Wilayat of Muttrah, Muscat Governorate, is the location of the shooting event. People from the Pakistani community were there, according to Al Bawaba.
