Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal on Tuesday allegedly issued a “stern” warning to the company’s employees over their poor attendance and said the HR department will get in touch with specific employees. The CEO’s message has now gone viral on social media.
According to the news, the CEO tracked the company’s attendance data, which was “shocking.” However, employees claimed that the facial recognition system data was incorrect.
“HR will talk to you…” warns Bhavish Aggarwal.
“Starting on Monday…”
“From Monday, stricter attendance expectations will begin. For those who have abused their freedoms so far, HR will have a conversation with you. The best excuse I’ve heard so far is that the facial recognition system data is wrong. Let’s not insult basic intelligence,” Bhavesh Agarwal said.
“Come to work, do your job and feel a part of Ola’s mission,” the Ola CEO added.
“Everyone has basic self-esteem…”
The long message from the Ola CEO also said that all employees should have enough self-respect not to “rip off” the company by being absent from work without valid reasons. Bhavesh Agarwal added that such behavior was disrespectful to employees who were willing to “work really hard”.
“I think everyone has the basic self-respect to not rip off the company by not showing up to work. It’s even disrespectful to colleagues who really work hard and contribute. We don’t have any work-from-home policy for real needs (sic) So),” Bhavish Aggarwal added in a stern warning to employees.
Ola CEO gets into spat with Kunal Kamra
Bhavish Aggarwal has always been the target of criticism, be it from Ola Electric customers or comedian Kunal Kamra. The comedian’s latest spat with the Ola CEO took place in November when Ola Electric did not reveal plans to resolve customer complaints or issue refunds.
Bhavish Aggarwal and Kunal Kamra got into a heated argument on social media after Kamra pointed out that an Ola electric scooter was left outside what appeared to be an Ola store.
